water circuits
The mineral concentration process will use water through separate circuits controlled by advanced technology. The water used will be reused throughout the production process, ensuring that the consumption balance remains minimal.
The mining project includes the construction of a treatment plant and two settling ponds to manage the necessary water flow for the mine.
Excess water from the exploitation and rainwater will be treated at the treatment plant before being discharged into the public watercourse with specific authorization from he Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation (CHMS), in compliance with strict environmental conditions set by the legislation.
Regarding underground mining work, the extraction project includes maximum guarantees to ensure that the galleries will not impact the water sources in the Beariz area. The access ramps and gallery excavations at Mina Doade will not cause adverse effects on the five water intakes in the parish of Doade.

water control network
Mina Doade will have an extensive piezometric control network (small diameter boreholes specifically drilled to measure groundwater levels) to monitor the water levels in the area between the mining operation and the water intakes.
This control network will track the future evolution of the subsurface hydrological conditions and confirm that the mining operation will not affect the waters, reflecting Mina Doade’s commitment to sustainability.
